The initial phase lays the foundation for the success of your project. We spend time getting to know you and your business. Based on your input, we’ll need to define:
- What your goals are for the project
- Who your audience is and how to best cater to them
- What your message is and the best way to convey it
- Who your competition is and how you can stand out as the ideal choice
Once we’ve gained a thorough understanding of your business, we’ll form a strategy of how best to achieve your goals. In turn, this will provide us with a road map for the design phase of the project.
In the second phase we incorporate everything we’ve learned from the discussion phase and translate that into an initial design concept, keeping in mind usability, best design practices, and ease-of-use. We also determine the navigation architecture of your site and design a user-friendly navigation interface.
Our design is then submitted for your review and approval. Based on your feedback we’ll make the necessary revisions until we arrive at a concept that you love. This phase isn’t complete until you are completely satisfied. Once we have the design finalized, we’re ready to begin building the site in the development phase of the project.
In the development phase, we take the finalized design and bring it to life. The site is hand-coded using W3C compliant web standards for a clean, error-free browsing experience on multiple platforms and browsers. During this phase we:
- Construct the navigational architecture with usability best practices
- Propagate the site pages with graphics and content
- Program any technical requirements into the site
- Integrate any presentational components into the site
Once the site is built we perform thorough usability and quality assurance testing to ensure a flawless user experience and optimum site performance. With your site built and ready to go live, we’re ready for the delivery phase.
Your site is now ready for launch. We send you a CD of all the files for your site and will upload them to your server upon request. Your site will be submitted to the appropriate search engines. While the web design project has been completed, our relationship with you continues. We’re here for any questions you may have and can provide you with support and maintenance services if desired.
